SWAMI

SWAMI

While the dream-merchants of Bollywood leave no leaf unturned to bring out more and more lavish movies every week, the true cine-maker never seems to be deterred by these vulgar extravaganzas, specially on baseless stories.
Swami is one such example of a parrarel, art or low budget movie, whatever you may call it.
Made with a simple story,a simple plot, simple cast, the movie has a powerful presentation, strong message and a fair amount of clean entertainment for family viewing.
Built around a simple story of a village couple who dare to dream to send their son to America to study and work, the movie brings home a sigh of relief for the common man.
The story very clearly and encouragingly conveys that even in today's time of wealth and rich people,a common man can have his simple dreams and they can be achieved without any miracle or unfair means, just by simple dedication and determination.
Juhi chawla and Manoj Bajpai have played their roles of the village couple beautifully and though the movie gets slow at times, one never looses interest
Swami is an encouraging movie for every common man, with small dreams and who believes that inspite of all its sham and drudgery life even today is worth living
